Jolie and Lawrence agree to disagree

There are very few exceptions like Jolie and Meryl but to become a  female draw in leading roles, you have to go the romantic comedy route.

Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz, Reese Witherspoon, Katherine Heigl, Anne Hathawy, they all had their 15 minutes of being the darling of america in a romantic comedy.

These actresses have done plenty of other roles obviously but actresses are rarely draws outside of romantic comedies when they have the lead role.

Female led franchises are a very specific case also.

McCarthy is probably having the time of her life ans she could care less if she s being typecast or not.

Julia Roberts had a lot longer than 15 minutes. And she has had way more hit movies than Jolie. And her body of work is a mix of all kinds of things.

Are you kidding. Every romantic comedy in the ninties that Roberts was in was a box office success. Don't be dissing Julia. She was THE biggest star in the ninties. Comparing her to Katherine Heighle is ridiculous.

Angelina has done one romcom and it flopped big time. Give her a gun and she's gold, that's a real woman.

I still can't believe Salt did 300M WW. That is crazy. No man would make that movie gross so much.

All Roberts biggest hits are romantic comedies and she stopped being huge somewhere in the 2000's precisely when she stopped doing them.
