Sure i respect your opinion but personally i feel among other portals their figs are closer to the actuals!

For Bollywood, yes. They are 99% accurate. Slightly higher than actual most of time but works.

For south they are just too incompetent. And there's nothing wrong since until 2015 there wasn't really need for tracking outside Bollywood and Bollywood is anyways limited in South so they never tried either.

Issue is that Telugu films reporting is done in term of share. For Share you can check any of Telugu platforms. They all have same numbers. No one really care about Gross there, gross are basically estimated, and there are some ridiculous ways of estimating.

As I said will do detailed post during RRR

Spider-man films Opening Days in India

Spider-man - ₹2.1cr - Record
Spider-man 2 - ₹2.5cr - Record
Spider-man 3 - ₹6.6cr - Record

TASM - ₹8.8cr - Record
TASM 2 - ₹9.8cr - Record

Homecoming - ₹8.7cr
Far From Home - ₹12.1cr
No Way Home - ₹39.3cr - 3rd Biggest

even though there was decent growth between SM3 and TASM....remember TASM OD and weekend were huge...SM3 was huge is a understatement..

Isn't sony/Deadline reporting more? 5.5m would be 41.8 Crores.

Even before Deadline, Indian news hubs reported 42 Crores gross.

Sony gross number are sometime whack especially during opening weekend. Just ignore them.

Film as per official numbers did ₹32.67cr Nett. There is 18% GST in India, with two main states, TN and GJ having local body tax. The overall number comes around 20%.

32.67*1.2= 39.2

@charlie Jatinder has truer and more accurate numbers than what the studios advertise.

Not really, he uses official sources too. And the official sources in India always give only Nett. Collection.

It's his gross collection which always come out different. Atleast for movies, I care about xD like Endgame or No Way Home.

Grooss Collection  = Nett collection + Taxes.

Thanx for explaining.

Every other news site, Reporters and Analyst use 30% though. So, that's how 12% difference comes about, eh and It only affects movies after 2019 only, then?

Tbh, I only care about it because your method put IW ahead of NWH lol. India official BO only report in Nett. Collection anyway.

Spidey got 32.67 Crores.

Infinity was 31.3 Crores.

Seems like bigger drop today, but it's how Indian Box-office is.

Studio's numbers should be  - 5.5m (Thu) + 3.43m (Fri) = 8.9m [41.5 and 26 Crores]

Charlie's could be - 5.16m (Thu) + 3.2m (Fri) = 8.36m [39.2 Crores and 24.44 Crores]

Sat will see the bump.
