I think they mostly don't like the way of the storytelling, the structure used in the movie. It is different from other typical marvel movies with one linear storytelling (easy to digest, can "turn off" the brain and watch),  and fast pace.

Turn your brain off is short selling other really good Marvel Movies....

Eternals had it's share of head scratching moments..... And there were lot of plot points amd scenes which were absolutely Pointless and could've been cut for better pacing and flow.

Pointless or not it depends on each person. People have different standard, tastes, way of analyzing. I also saw lots of people didn't have that problem you mentioned. They have different way to percieve it and didn't feel it pointless?

Finally Indian boxoffice as a whole has picked up over the last weekend.

looks like bollywood will win 2021 box office crown - Either 83/Sooryavanshi are most likely winners with Jersey/Pushpa being dark horses..

2022 will be more interesting with RRR/KGF2/LSC

Curious what the reaction to Sooryavanshi is back in India. I saw it last night and the first half is pretty poor, but the second half is really fun

The film is bad obviously, but there's audience for it in Central & Western India where director's movies work well.

That's gross Hindi# for Sooryavanshi, right?

BOI and other India B.O. sources have it doing Rs. 10.35 cr on Saturday. Total collections Rs. 137.84 crore and a look to a 150cr net gross total after Sunday (about 30cr w/e)   - pacing well under Kumar's' recent Houseful 4, Good Newwz and Mission Mangal (only H4 passed 200cr net)

Those numbers are Nett. Gross is ₹161cr Approx as on SAT and will be ₹176cr on SUN.

Yeah under Akki's previous few films, but this was way bigger film than those, but industry is finally getting some numbers, so general perception is great, as was in US during summer.

Is Eternals actually the best performance of these 5 or just better market conditions?

April 14, 2022.

Hoping for ₹550cr+ in India & $35M overseas without East Asia.

Won't KGF 2 hurt its grosses in South India? We have already seen Aamir in autistic character, I just hope he doesn't feel similar to the guy in Dhoom 3 or PK in portraying Forest Grump.

Awesome, looking forward to it.

Also, what's this Marrakar film coming out next week? It's going suuuuper wide by Indian standards here in the UK

Most expensive Malayalam film. Release and business will be way less than bollywood movies. May be 300K GBP final.
