@charlie Jatinder is Gangubai number 1 on Monday all India?

I am hearing 8-8.5cr Monday.

Hopefully 11cr+ Tuesday and comfortably 65cr+ first week. I think 100cr is doable.

Yep. In fact could be similar to Bheemla Nayak & Valimai combined.

Valimai around ~3.5-4 Monday & Bheemla probably ~7.5. Gangu is ~10.

GROSS.

I see COVID case numbers having come down to earth. Has india BO recovered anywhere near pre covid levels? When is RRR opening? That could breakout big.

CoVID stopped mattering a long time ago. Some state govt freaked out during Omicron initial days and that delayed things.

RRR is 25th March. Radhe Shyam is Mar 11. Bachchan Pandey Mat 18

Monday Update: Bheemla Nayak Steady - Valimai Drops - Pawankhind Excellent
Tuesday 01 March 2022 01.00 IST

Google+ Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Pinterest Addthis

The Marathi film Pawankhind is on an extraordinary run as it grossed 1.50 crore nett apprx on its second Monday which is more than its second Friday which did 1 crore nett. The collections are similar to the second Saturday and the film has now grossed 18.25 crore nett in eleven days. The film grossed 12 crore nett in week one and the second week could  be around 10 crore nett if not more which is phenomenal.

The Telugu film Bheeemla Nayak was steady on Monday with business that could hit double digits on Monday across India. The film grossed 78 crore nett over the three day weekend and should be around 88 crore nett after four days. The film is doing better business than Pushpa - The Fire as far as the business from the home circuit Nizam / Andhra is concerned and is looking to be the best performer in this circuit post the pandemic

The Tamil film Valimai has seen a drop in business and is likely to be in the 4-5 crore nett range on Monday. The film had collected 73 crore nett over its first four days across India and now the 100 crore nett mark looks a task. The film had done well over the weekend but the the film seems about starpower with the content not being there. The business in Tamil Nadu probably stands at around 66 crore nett after five days.

Inspite of many hurdles Bheemla Nayak has recorded excellent numbers all over.

This movie had to face occupancy issue and ticket prices issue which Andhra state government was delaying purposely to target its hero Pawan Kalyan.

Nizam distributor too had some commission issues with Book my show and bookings opened very late and on top of that once 100% was allowed by Andhra government bheemla release date announced just a week before its release.

Last moment release also meant distributors is some OS markets had difficult time to arrange screens and proper showtimes like GCC except saudi had low key release.

No Saudi release too!

It doesn't really matter. Telugu market is mostly USA. That's it. Minor difference it would have.

Telugu movies are no more USA only...UK, Australia and Gulf business has drastically improved.

Bheemla has grossed 150k euros from UK and its a Non BB highest grosser among telugu movies...

If Bheemla had proper gulf release bare minimum of 500k USD 3.75 cr INR....UK- 1.5cr and Aus &NZ -1.8cr - here you go 1M market here...there is no minor difference here...its a big one for telugu movies!

Looks like Batman is gonna have some shows starting early morning on Thursday which is unusual here. One IMAX has already opened ticketing for shows tomorrow. Early morning show is about 75-80% full and the rest are about 50% full. 50% capacity restrictions still apply here so there doesn't seem a whole lot of rush yet.

I'd have booked one for myself but the theatre is on the other side of the city. I'll likely wait till Mon-Tue for the crowds to die down.
