If CF beats the 2D OW, it might keep it for sometime. They are thinking of converting Mockingjay to 3D. So, that would mean likely no major 2D film for a long, long time if ever.

I hope they don't convert it to 3D but the Fast & Furious movies are still there , although it will not challenge 2D record, it will still bring big numbers sans 3D

His punishment really should be more severe just for predicting 400 million for Thor 2 & Cap 2
