In college, we had a choice of topics for a presentation, and the list was based on what past students recommended. So mixed in with things like "India's foreign policy" and "Globalization" were topics like "Batman" and "James Bond". I chose "Calvin and Hobbes" for my presentation, most fun I have had doing an assignment ever.

It was during MBA. The point was to do a presentation, whatever it might be about. The more serious minded folk picked topics which most students and teachers slept through anyway, the rest of us had fun.

The paper im writing now for my Communications class is on "why Ben Affleck should be able to play Batman and why you'll like it". Im being completely serious. I chose this topic back in August and Ive written 3 papers and done 3 speeches for it. Everybody else in the class has topics like "marriage equality in Russia" and "corrupt govt in Kenya" and "why Catholics arent all bad" and "why internet bullying is awful", and here i am giving speeches about gat damn Ben Affleck. You guys have gotten into my head, I log on too much.

I remember my first University exam first year I was 17.

 

It was Accounting 101 an Easy Class. 

 

It was in a big room with close to 1500 other students.. It was freezing cold and I had a cup of water

 

I was doing okay, then i spilled my water on test... Then I used my calculator and the battery exploded in it.

Then I had a big stomach pain and the cold room made me start to shiver...

 

That made me forget everything and the exam was that you had to pass to pass the course.

 

I did it and prayed for a miracle and I somehow passed.

 

Never did as bad an exam as that one

Did a topic on Pedobear and internet cat memes, turned out okay. Luckily she was more concerned about quality of writing than content. Probably the most fun paper I ever had to do.

My favorite project back in MBA was when I used regression analysis to predict the opening weekend take of "Quantum of Solace". I had got the result of 68M OW using the analysis. This was done long before the movie had even started production and just months after Casino Royale was released.
