Lordmandeep
I think if it offers large scale destruction I can't see how this does not do well. Plus overseas competition is tame this year in the summer.
kaijukurt
880-900 million. 3D, expanding Asia market, less competition. Boom.
zackzack
The success of tent pole movies like POTC4 is great and all but really, STRANGER TIDE is really crap. Excellent production value, the actor who play Blackbeard is well cast, but the rest of it is dull & muddy including the uninterested Depp & the Miss Good Time herself, Cruz. MattW
Yup, I'm with everyone else here, 800-900. I think it'll beat Pacific Rim and Iron Man 3 in China. $150m or more.

SentryTrans
TF3 made about 170m in China in 2011. TF4 would make about 400m in China in 2014.
Tower
TF3 made about 170m in China in 2011. TF4 would make about 400m in China in 2014. No, it's not making double the next place.
htall90
I thought tf3 made about 150 mil in china? I can see 200 plus and it becoming the highest grossing movie ever in china but no way is 400 mil possible.
