What was so great about her in AH?  If anything her and Margo Robbie were playing similar characters and Robbie buries her this year.  

She plays what she does great, loud mouth, self centered, blames on other people for her problems and shifts the blame or change the topic to something else, manipulative, scared, crazy housewife.

The Lone Ranger is a dull movie but the visual effects nomination is deserving, the 2 set pieces were fantastic

 

Agreed! Amazing that Gravity got the highest number of noms. Great to see Zimmer being out of the race in Score.

I didn't see it that way.  She played a caricature of every mob movie housewife that's out there.  I like Jlaw immensely and I think she was worthy of the win last year.  I just don't see it this year.

I still think 12YAS will win but a lot of categories are open this year so the telecast will be pretty fun to watch.

I agree, I do like JL but she didn't even deserve the Oscar for SLP and she definitely doesn't deserve a nod for AH. Chastain performance in ZDT was much better than JL's.

Here we go again on Jennifer's performance in SLP.

JLaw's best performance to date was her first. I think she was miscast in AH and didn't do any special in the role, but she's the golden girl right now and everyone loves her.The Academy missed a great opportunity for a skit by not nominating Hanks and Redford.
