Boxoffice forum's "Most under-appreciated films of the 2000s" list

Reign of Fire and The Terminal, bueno. The Terminal really does have one of John Williams' best scores of the new millennium but it doesn't get enough recognition. I could almost agree with Zohan if we're talking strictly about the first 20 minutes of the movie and the last 10-15 minutes. The stuff in between is just too plain stupid for me to find charming.

I'm gonna get laughed for this, but I'm thinking Bedazzled is going on my list.

damn, Telemachos, a LOT of movies I would put and love are on your list-well done!

Zohan, one of the funniest sandler movies ever, scratch that, one of my favorite comedies ever-I think for this movie you have to really allow yourself to laugh at dumb/cornball comedy or you'll hate it, cuz I've met a few people who when I say it's hilarious think I'm on crack…holy shit turturro is comedy gold-phantom haha

Dark Blue/Narc and Ill add in Street Kings- All pretty good corrupt cop movies, I love the genre.  Street Kings has an early Evans and a surprisingly energetic/badass keanu in it.  Narc had great performances by patric and liotta, and yea can't go wrong with Snake.

Reign of Fire- love the setting, love how grimy and badass Mcconaughey is, just one of those action movies Ill always watch when I'm flipping around and find it.

The Grey- love survival movies, love adventure/outdoorsy movies.  Add in some good characters in addition to liam and that ending. good stuff

Mothman- creeped me the f out and if I remember correctly gave me some restless nights after I first saw it

Ill have to think of some more to add of my own-and will have to watch Southland Tales which I was always tempted to rent but couldn't bring myself to do it

The Fall was the saddest f'ing movie ever, in some parts. It was done very well and artistically. The cinematography was out of this world. But man, it was so difficult to watch without feeling my soul getting ripped out.Speaking of sad and underrated movies, I have to vote for Ned Kelly, a Western starring Heath Ledger and Orlando Bloom in I think 2005. I'm not really one for drama, but that one definitely deserves more recognition.

I want to say 2012. Sure it's a bad film but unlike most bad films, it knows it's bad and it makes it all the more enjoyable.

I'll stand by 2012.  It's an over-the-top disaster movie that, well, I want to say has no further ambition than to be a big dumb disaster movie.  Cause that's all it is...really, everything and the kitchen sink.

That being said, it made a shit-ton of money, especially worldwide...so not sure it was that under-appreciated.

The first time I saw 2012, I only saw the middle part of the film, and I actually found it pretty dark and serious. Then I saw the entire film from start to finish and with the added cheesiness of the beginning and end, I couldn't look at it the same way anymore.
