TG2 dropped 22% from last weekend, JWD dropped 52% and Lightyear only making nearly 40% of TG2 made in its 4th weekend.

Minions OW was around 5.8m,so Minions 2 is not a big drop

The first Minions movie opened to 5.84m, so this is a reasonably good start

 

 

The Great Gatsby opened to 6.78m back in 2013, so again a pretty decent comparable opening. Higher ticket prices notwithstanding.

and for TGM,the fifth weekend gross is just Incredible,It's even double of NWH Performance on the same Weekend consider NWH also have one the greatest leggy run of all-time.

NWH gross 70m by the end of fifth Weekend,so TGM still have a chance for challenge it.

International Box office report has TGM’s 6th weekend jumping 5% here which would put it around 5.6M or very close to Avatar’s 6th weekend in AUD if I’m not mistaken? Can it do 90M?

An increase?! Possibly helped by absolutely crap weather on the east coast and start of school holidays in NSW, but even then it's not a school holiday type of movie.

So the battle is down here,TGM will become highest grosser of COVID era in Australia,AEG is down either.
