For Minions 3.5M during the week and a 9.5M total, after the 4.4M of the past week this was just a 20% drop

 

Bullet Train opened with a disappointing 700k and probably won't even reach the 2/3M, while Jurassic World is out of the top 10 for the first time with a 8.1M total (while Top Gun, Thor and Elvis are still in)

Since the re-release period of anime movies is over, I repost the list of the highest grossing ever in Italy

 

1) Capitan Harlock - 5.1 million

2) Pokemon 1 - 4.7 million (for Cinetel, more correctly over 9 million for Siae)

3) Pokemon 2 - 3.1 million (or over 6 million for Siae)

4) Final Fantasy - 2.9 million

5) Stand By Me Doraemon - 2.6 million

6) Dragon Ball Super: Broly - 2.5 million

7) Spirited Away - 1.5 million

8)Doraemon Movie n. 34 - 1.3 million

9) Doraemon Movie n. 35 - 1.2 million

10) Jujutsu Kaisen 0 - 1.1 million 

11) Howl Moving Castle - 1 million

12) The Wind Rises - 1 million

13) Dragon Ball Z: The Battle of the Gods - 930,000 (in just two days!)

For Minions almost 2.2M during the week and a 11.7M total, a 35/40% drop

 

800k for Bullet Train now at 1.5M, a surprising increase over the opening week

 

While League of Super Pets opened in third position with 750k

Minions wins the fourth weekend in a row with 1 million and for a 12.7M total, in a couple of weeks it should be able to pass Doctor Strange for the highest grossing movie of 2022 (at least until Avatar)

 

Top Gun is 7th and grossed 100k for a 12.8M total, ready to be surpassed by Minions next week

 

In the end Thor is finally out of the top 10, but only after passing the total gross of Aquaman of 10.77M

Is there anyone who would like to become thread manager for the Italy box office? I have remained thread manager for a long time because the administrators could not figure out how to change the thread manager. However, it has been a few years since I last asked them. I could try again if anyone is interested, since -realistically speaking- I rarely read this thread and so the thread title is often outdated.

This sounds interesting, but what should a thread manager do? If it's only for the title then it wouldn't be a problem for me

Yes it's only for 3 days, since the film was already on Amazon Prime. The only difference is that they changed the dub since Cannarsi's version was as terrible as always like with all his dubs for the Ghibli films 😐

Minions wins the fifth weekend in a row with 620k and 13.3M total, while the only other interesting thing in the top 10 is the presence of the Evangelion movie at 130k euros despite only 3 days of release at the beginning of the week

 

And this also means that Top Gun is out of the top 10 for the first time in 3 months and half (with a 13M total), truly incredible

 

Finally, I wanted to add that there will now be a 5-day release of No Way Home, so let's see how much it will do

After the 300k on the first day of re-release Avatar becomes the first film to officially pass the 66M euros in Italy, a target almost reached also by the second in the ranking "Quo Vado" by Zalone, who stopped at 65.3M a few years ago. As always I have to remind that the estimates put the total gross of Titanic at about 70/71M euros instead of the official 50 and something...

 

Another interesting fact is that with this re-release it has a chance to enter the list of the 50 films with the highest number of tickets sold in Italy, since Avatar stopped at 7.5M, it sold 100k tickets yesterday with half-priced tickets and now it just has to pass Fantozzi (which I recommend to everybody) at 7.75M

I see that Minions finally managed to become the highest grossing film of the year after the 700k euros of the past week (which is perhaps more than the previous one? Wtf), and Top Gun finally managed to surpass 13M. Seeing the result in other countries I hoped it would at least reach 15M, but that's acceptable

 

Another thing to note is that the re-release of No Way Home brings the film from 24.66M to 24.94M, a small difference which is still enough to make it top one spot in the all-time chart. The wikipedia page about it was recently updated with some data of various re-releases of 2020 and 2021, so if anyone wants to take a look it's here: Film con maggiori incassi in Italia - Wikipedia
