ITALY (Botteghino): 'Kung Fu Panda 4' becomes biggest 2024 film

Yeah seems fine. Not being much bigger than fri feels a bit weird but I think it's more that fri was really unusually strong than sun being weak. I'm seeing it at 1.585M, not expecting it to go higher than that.

Disney estimations in many countries made absolutely no sense this week. How do you lowball sunday by this much?

$50M is looking good?

Tre di Troppo (a comedy about a couple who woke up with 3 children out of nowhere) opened with an excellent 700k on its first day, but it's obviously inflated from being released on January 1 so the film remains a wild car. We'll see how it does this week

I don't thing so, my predictions remains 40/45M euros. I think "Che Bella Giornata" at 43.5M will be an interesting opponent...

Pass 30m! € 30.428.084.

Is it still a holiday or some kind? The drop is small.

Yea, schools are out til 9th, a good amount of people will still be out of work this week too (not all though).

Good monday. Don't think this misses 40M euros from here.

Monday:

Avatar-€1.23M

PiB-€0.12M

Puss in the boots 2 had a decent opening and a bad drop in its second weekend but since then the legs have been pretty good especially during the holidays, 5M wouldn't be a terrible result but I still hope it can make at least 8M (which is half of the first)

Posting some great dailies - only opener today is...M3GAN I think? So it might not even drop much after all. Probably over 35 by sun, 40 should happen easily afterwards if it's that high so maybe it can go a bit higher than that.

I think it will be 37 after the Sunday. 31,55 until Tuesday + 1,05 Wed + 1,1 Thurs + 3,3 (Weekend) = 37M€-37,5M after Sunday.

50M€ it's the goal

NWH numbers last year in 3rd week :

Friday (Dec 31st) - 156K

Saturday (Jan 1st) - 387k

Sunday (Jan 2nd) - 490k

Monday (Jan 3rd) - 260K

Tuesday (Jan 4th) - 257K

Wednesday (Jan 5th) - 250K

Thursday (Jan 6th) - 249K

Avatar2's 3rd week :

Friday (Dec 30th) - 1.4M

Saturday (Dec 31st) - 635k

Sunday (Jan 1st) - 1.57M

Monday (Jan 2nd) - 1.23M

Tuesday (Jan 3rd) - 1.12M

Avatar2's numbers so far in 3rd week are roughly 4 times that of NWH dailies...crazy legs so far

I'm kinda confused here, why do you have it bumping up on thur exactly? There's no reason for it to unless I'm missing something. Weekend feels a bit too optimistic to me as well given historical precedent.

If it goes for your numbers sure, could go 45-50+ at that point instead of 40-45
