Why is Cameron making so many damn Avatar movies.

Avatar is one of his two most personal films. The other one is Terminator. So its understandable that he wants to see his most precious baby grow up.And the bitching about his sticking to Avatars is not fair. Cameron is the last personal in hollywood that we should question about laying back, playing safe and not wanting to challenge himself. I dont know anyone in this business had a better tracking record of keeping challenging himself, pushing himself to the limit, and doing things that nobody else think would have a bright future. So I guess I'm a little slow on the Avatar uptake but saw the thread title and was like...

Cameron's done lost his mind if he's gonna attempt to shoot 3 of these things back to back. Who in the flying fish fuck even wants 4 Avatars anyways?!? A trilogy is more than enough. I personally think he should stop at 2. This will not turn out good if it happens, I can guarantee it.

I dont think it has anything to do with a possible TH3. He's just starting to write the script. Even if there's no a 3rd TH film, the sequel wont be able to come out in 2014.
