Omni
If it ends up being underestimated again, I'll consider 750M WW a virtual lock.

katniss
Do you all think this will outearn DOFP on a WW basis? DOFP is at 738 million WW currently. I guess the key is Japan (along with the US, with folks predicting this will earn about 12 million more to hit 240 million domestically).

Peeta Tong Karanasios
At least it will beat Cap 2 and became Disney's highest grossing film of 2014!
23IsEverywhere
At least it will beat Cap 2 and became Disney's highest grossing film of 2014! :(It is starting look like $750M is possible. how likely is it?
Omni
I'd say it has a minimum of 10M left from various OS markets, 10 from DOM and 25 from Japan, so I consider 740M a lock. X-Men will probably close to around 745, so perhaps a 75/80% chance? My range is 740/765M.
jj99
Seems like we're still playing in China so $50M is still possible. Roco Kingdom took another $2.10 million to bring its cume to $7.05 million, and Maleficent was only the second Hollywood movie still in the top 10, taking another $1.23 million to help its gross in China to $47.72 million. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/china-box-office-local-sensation-720189

Quigley
Disney continues to surprise. Cap 2 beat TASM 2 and they're not even letting Fox enjoy their triumph with X-Men. They're taking that away as well. I wonder what Guardians of the Galaxy will achieve. What is definite is that Disney will cross $2B overseas.

rockNrollaDIM
So Maleficent has had a leggy run and good 3+ multipliers in pretty much all the OS markets. I know lack of competition due to WC release freeze helped but even in Germany/France where OW were considered lackluster it's still managed to leg its way to 3x multiplier and stayed in the top 10 all 8 weeks so far. In Germany it stayed in the top 3 for for 7 weeks (4 at #1!). I think releasing during WC really was a good idea.
