Yep, thanks~Batman's film has never been so successful in Malaysia. TDK ranked #9 with only $2.7mil USD.And now TDKR's OW has more than doubled TDK's OW ($1mil), it opened at $2.3mil.Really hope the total run will double TDK as well, around $6mil+

The Dark Knight Rises Has Good First Week

The Dark Knight Rises had a good first week of around 25.25 crore nett. The film dropped at many places but the the major metros held up well with good business at premium multiplexes.

The first week collections are the third highest ever after The Amazing Spiderman and 2012 and just edge ahead ahead of Mission Impossible 4 and The Avengers.

The English version will continue to hold at the good multiplexes of Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore but the dubbed versions will not do much from the second week onwards.

The movie's net (After Ent tax) is about $4.5M. That means TDKR ended up with a gross of around $6M for the week in India. That is very good.

What can we expect from Germany? The Olympics might hurt it.

No official predicton yet, but the average forum prediction is something like 1 mio admissions OW for Germany and 3 mio in the end. TDK finished with 2.8 mio admissions there.
