I picked up the book a week ago and finished it in  2 days.  I enjoyed it even though all the nerdy hard science shit nearly made me go cross-eyed at times.  It was surprisingly funny and a few times I laughed out loud.  I hope the Star Wars Prequel swipe and the Council of Elrond joke makes it in.
