Ando918
Rio 2 now at only 56% approval on Rotten Tomatoes. It is not going to do well domestically with that kind of number for an animated movie - especially when the critics usually give most animated movies at least a 75%. Don't count on this one getting to 125 domestic.

baumer
I really dont see how weekday numbers tell any kind of tale for .CA2. Its going to be the Friday and Saturday bumps that determine whether it does 43 or 47.
a2k
31.1% is not a bad drop if you consider it increased a 12.1% on tue. big openers in their 1st week are not supposed to show a double-digit tuesday growth. so some leveling was expected. Its going to be the Friday and Saturday bumps that determine whether it does 43 or 47. It'll really be interesting to see if CATWS gets the usual Saturday Marvel bump. We know lots of young kids still went to see The Dark Knight despite it's violence and darkness, but that movie was obviously a level above TWS when it comes to being a must-see movie that becomes part of the culture. JohnnyGossamer
Still much better than The Dark World's $3.57M first Wednesday. Looking very good for $40M+ second frame. Actually, likely still looking good for just north of $45M+. Thor 2 did $35.58 its second weekend. I think Caps can improve on that by about $10M. That Tuesday jump was a little high. Obviously partly due to basketball on Monday, but still a surprising jump for Tuesday when you consider than 5 million folks of the precise exact same target audience was watching Agents Of Shield on Tuesday.
Plain Old Tele
Marvel movies tend to have strong Friday jumps. CAP2 should still easily hit in the 40s.

The Saturday bump this week will be interesting to see for sure, because it is going up against a proper Saturday matinee movie this week in Rio 2.
