Why is WB releasing this and King Kong two weeks apart?

Where's that Harry Osborn gif?

No, not the one about the apple pie...

I'm gonna go back to this...yeah.

Actresses of a certain age (as in over 40) have been mostly resigned to playing mothers to people not much younger than them (wasn't there some movie last year where Jennifer Connelly played mom to Cillian Murphy? Da fuq). It's time for equality.

But it doesn't matter if there were other movies before. It's like saying no WW2 movie is original because there were others before it. It's absurd. Disney's 2004 adaptation will be nothing like this probably.

It's a specific legend, it's not a general fantasy. If someone remade LOTR would you say it's an original movie?

THE LEGEND OF THE FANTASY OF THE TALE OF KING ARTHUR

Let's just throw it all in there, why not?

This project's already being thrown around in the schedule (and probably in post) more than 47 Ronin et al.

In retrospect it was also a mainstream adult skewing adventure in a current marketplace filled with family, horror & comedy movies.  The only other movie in the last month plus to serve that audience was ID2 and well.....

Bingo. This is the only reason Tarzan didn't crash and burn. It's the only truly adult skewing blockbuster film out there right now besides IDR. Hopefully that bodes well for Bourne too.

Star Trek and Ghostbusters will be skewing rather older too.
