They'd been together for months by that point. While I personally wouldn't act in such a manner, my argument is that the reaction was pretty extreme considering what he did wasn't exactly controversial. 

 

...but it felt extreme because it was so awkward and forced. It felt like him trying to force this weird issue on people. It also felt fake because -- whether rightly or wrongly -- it's not how adults act. It was like Steve Carell in 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN pretending that he'd been sexing up the ladies.

I'd argue that it only seemed so awkward or forced because most people these days are overly cynical. All I thought was "huh...weird...but good for him." 

 

We're too judgemental towards celebrities.

That 11 million number for Rio is very surprising.  Don't know what time that projection came in, but I would not be surprised if the official number is only 10.

Expecting 10m for Cap...but probably will be in the 9 range. A 10m Friday would lead to 25-26 for the weekend and put 250m well within reach.

10 million is still really good, yes.  I thought Rio would only do 22 mil this weekend and that both Captain and the Disney nature documentary would steal its business.  I was wrong.
