Well, yes. It's got all the key scenes and even the design of the movie (including the look of Maleficent herself) is pretty much the same as in the 1959 movie.

I'm not interested at all in seeing either Trans4mers or Maleficent.

Maybe Jolie is great in the film.  But I'm going to have a hard time looking past the work Marc Davis and Eleanor Audley originally did with the character
