Can you guys imagine how crazy Disney will go with unproven lesser known Marvel comics now? We may see every single one ever made become a film by 2030.

I fear the fatigue and public backlash against superheroes will set in long before then.

Even if it does, they'll probably still be made. Just with smaller budgets and a more limited gross.

They really like to update and they're really interesting at doing multipliers.

I don't see how they could get $92m out of a $36m Fri that had $11.2m in previews.  That would be a $24.8m Friday and they're estimating what a $30-31m Sat in August?

Wait - wasn't $36m the number Nikki pulled out of her er hat about half a day ago?It would be funny if she wound up being right.

Well I was just exaggerating, but still we're probably gonna see some extremely obscure ones actually get greenlit now. Disney's power at the box office right now is on a whole other level. At this point Episode VII really will beat Avatar (no hyperbole).

What a sad day at the box office. A ridiculously hokie film makes bank.  Somewhere, Douglas Fairbanks is weeping in his grave.  I seriously can't believe so many like this film.  It's just so bland and incredibly silly.

Did you actually see the film?
