Super-impressive Guardians number. Did not expect this. Marvel's on a roll. I'm glad their risk payed off, and hopefully the success of Guardians will lead to other lower-profile comic book properties getting their chance to shine as well.

They really like to update and they're really interesting at doing multipliers.

 

I don't see how they could get $92m out of a $36m Fri that had $11.2m in previews.  That would be a $24.8m Friday and they're estimating what a $30-31m Sat in August?

Well I was just exaggerating, but still we're probably gonna see some extremely obscure ones actually get greenlit now. Disney's power at the box office right now is on a whole other level. At this point Episode VII really will beat Avatar (no hyperbole).
