Weekend Estimates: GotG 17.6m | TMNT 16.8m | If I Stay 16.4m | WGST 9.0m | Sin City 6.5m

I knew TMNT would do decently actually. It was the most viewed trailer on youtube for 2014 releases

So you predict '50 Shades' being huge next year, right? :P

Also excited for 'Assassin's Creed' and 'The Man from U.N.C.L.E' and 'Goosebumps'.

Guardians had a sub-30% drop and it's still barely under 20m. Those are some fantastic legs. It may actually increase for the 3 day Labor Day weekend followed by more minuscule drops till Maze Runner. It could very easily be in first till maze runner

I highly, highly, highly doubt Dolphin Tale 2 and No Good Deed are gonna do less than $10M, a mark Guardians will be doing less than, on the weekend of 9/12-14.

What the hell is wrong with all the other country's, we don't dubb, we see the movie in englisch with subtitles, way better.

K, kids movies are dubbed but that's they can't read or understand it.

Hmm, your neighbor country is France, where they still throw a radio DJ into court, if he/she plays more than 3 or 4 English songs in a row and has in average not really good English teachers...

Denmark... a lot of countries didn't have the extra money for dubbing, so they started early to air series and movies with subtitles => a way better niveau to even start to learn English (especially also bcs of native English speaking persons to hear)

just waiting for maleficent to pass tf4 , please movie gods let it happen!

I don't see it happening....

'Dolphin Tale 2' would have to make under 10M for that to happen. But next weekend GotG will likely be No. 1 again.

The one I'm rooting for the most is ASSASSIN'S CREED. First, I want a real, kick-ass video game adaptation franchise. Second, Fassbender is awesome.

Thats good, but I would wait for some trailers and reactions, before i write of the rest as potentials.

That's actually highly possible

Dolphin Tale 2 won't flop. The first was well-received, it'll be the first family film in forever and is also beating a bunch of mid-to-lower tier family titles (The BoxTrolls, Alexander and the endless title, The Book of Life...none of which look to be blockbusters) coming out this fall. Should do around $50M total, at least.

I am disappointed JUPITER ASCENDING wasn't released this year. But that's a good thing I guess.

DAMN I really forgot about that movie. I know I saw the trailers and all before the beginning of the summer, but I missed everything after that.

lol TMNT is going to have one of the best legs among summer films. It is also going to finish close to TASM ll and GODZILLA. No one saw that coming. Or did you Baumer?

The only person I can think of that probably had it up there is Kal. Of course with the way he was pushing it I'd think he predicted north of 200.
