Sal
Interstellar had the biggest opening for a Nolan movie in China: http://variety.com/2014/film/news/interstellar-time-travels-to-strong-first-day-b-o-in-china-1201356188/ That's a pretty big range there (33m) It's almost like they're saying "we don't have a good idea of how much this will actually make". MrPink
Ed, Pink, time to move to China. You know it's inevitable. After my betrayal, I deserve Brazil, and nothing more.

Every year there are new records broken. TDK opened on the same weekend at ASM - both finished under $50m. Interstellar opened to about 1/2m more than Gravity and Gravity opened on a Tues and Interstellar a Wed. Before the opening projections or at least hopes were it would do $100m, it's on target now for more like $70m. Solid but not great. Need For Speed did $66m. #ED
TDK never opened in China. It could have hit 1.5B WW.

TalismanRing
I miss the classic weekend threads. The no derailments rule has killed all our fun. Reading about Ethan's love life in the Conversation thread is a very poor substitute!
Jandrew
Some random American tweets from Americans: @billyeichner: I loved Dumb and Dumber To. Angelina Jolie has really come into her own as a film director. @Tatiannamz: Dumb and Dumber To was pretty great. so was Red Lobster. @tay_morgan9: *walks out of interstellar* "I should've been in dumb and dumber to" - @jkray26

Mattrek
If we had conquered Quebec like we planned to in December 1775-January 1776 they would. Fuck yeah Canada! I know it's much later in the conversation, but I had to say it.
