KP1025
I'm hoping Ant Man can hit at least $100 million in China.
terrestrial
I'm hoping Ant Man can hit at least $100 million in China. I am starting to think about if it will even get a release date (not really earnestly meant!!!) as I start to think about why we do not hear anything, not even a new rumor - and fingers crossed for a nice quality release date More a rambling about China's strangeness till we get a release date - grrrrr Disney already had AoU, Cinderella, Tomorrowland (maybe in the hope to lessen the minus?), in China, plus last years Big Hero 6 got released there in 2015 too. still has maybe also Bridge of Spies, The Good Dinosaur in the plans for a Chinese release in 2015, and said Star Wars 7 this year in the US in release With so many releases also by other studios worldwide (not only the US produces movies) and the Chinese limit for foreign movies to actually 34 plus some art-house movies (but partly circumvented via part Chinese productions...) not sure about how many actual count as 'foreign', I recognised at least 21 US titles already released as non-Chinese, but I am not always familiar with the English title of all listed movies. The Indian PK movie (2014) is alson the Chinese 2015 release list.... I guess Disney plans to release Star Wars 7 in 2016 as December is ususally a protection month there, Inside Out also not released there yet.... Not meant as a start to it will not get a release... but with China I am always a bit nervous about: if, uncensored/unchanged, when and with which other movies time-near ... a movie will get a release Edited September 7, 2015 by terrestrial

Quigley
Is that good? It means Inisde Out and Ant-Man will be released within 12 days of each other. Could be worse but c'mon...
Wadey Wilsoney
It means Inisde Out and Ant-Man will be released within 12 days of each other. Could be worse but c'mon...I can live with 12 days, all things considered. But how are things looking after Ant-Man? I'm hoping for 100M for it, but I fear the schedule might not be in its favor. Quigley
I can live with 12 days, all things considered. But how are things looking after Ant-Man? I'm hoping for 100M for it, but I fear the schedule might not be in its favor. Honestly, I have no idea what kind of Chinese or American films will be released around that time. We should ask in the Chinese thread.
terrestrial
Is that good? Any other additional movies around those dates to expect? Inside Out 6th Oct = Tuesday, during working free 'bridge days' after the National Day or however that is called in English, with Saturday 10th October being a workingday according to cbooo.cn no other movie release at the same day (Inside Out not added yet), time-nearest release is Massagist at 3 October Ant-Man 16 October = Friday, no school holday, no working weekend, no public holiday around it. Other movies released at the same day according to cbooo.cn (Ant-Man not added yet): The Little Prince (anim.) My Best Friends The Coffin in the Mountain Midnight Whisper A Journey, through Time, with Anthony I can live with 12 days, all things considered. But how are things looking after Ant-Man? I'm hoping for 100M for it, but I fear the schedule might not be in its favor. Honestly, I have no idea what kind of Chinese or American films will be released around that time. We should ask in the Chinese thread. Foreign movies usually do get rather only short time before the release date gets announced, so this list might be incomplete 23 October: I'll Never Lose You River Road Where‘s The Dragon? Campus Mystery The Bad Man Must Die 29 October The Promised Land 30 October The Witness Mountains May Depart The Ghost Pride The most or all seem to be local movies (my impression omly via poster designs, not checked), incl animated, a teen-zombie movie (I guess) ...
