No I didn't. People can form opinions on something like this without seeing it. It's not hard to read the books or to find detailed descriptions from those who have read/seen it.

Sure, some of the people are prudes. But, most of the backlash is from people who recognize that Christian Grey is a cold, jealous, controlling, mentally and emotionally abusive son of a bitch. And that people acting like anything he does (not talking about the sexual stuff in the slightest) is okay is completely fucked up. Totally not the message we need to send to females. That guys like that are hot and any of that is excusable. Lots of this coming from people who have no problems watching porn, so there's nothing prudish about it.

This post is so bad Paul Thomas Anderson went back in time and changed the title of his first big movie to "Dirk Diggler's Big Aventure" just so maybe, MAYBE the course of history is changed to the point where half of the things you've said in this topic cease to exist.

I think sex scares a lot of guys.  It's the only logical thing I can come up with as to why there is so much backlash to this film before people see it.

 

I bet if the internet existed IN 1972, boys and young men would be making puerile jokes about Last tango in Paris  as well.  So much hate and no one can tell us why they do.

 

Guys scurred of sex?  LOL tell that to their porn collections/browsing history.  Maybe its just a really badly written book that made a really bad movie? Salman Rushdie read a few pages of it and said "I've never read anything so badly written that got published, it made Twilight look like War and Peace."  The reviews for the book are bad and the reviews for the movie are bad, I don't think its really hard to figure out why people bash/make fun of this book/movie.  Also, from what I've seen, some of this things biggest critics are women.
