Impact
Looks like my predictions match the DGA noms! Let's see how well they match to the Oscars!
solaris
goodness... I really can't call this one. I wouldn't be surprised if the Oscar noms match the DGA noms 5/5. I think we might be heading for a split year between BP/BD winners. I'd love to see Miller win but I think Scott may get it as a bit of a lifetime achievement award. Miller should win the DGA though. Innaritu doesn't feel like a double BD winner but it is a VERY showy film so... I dunno. McKay and McCarthy will be happy just to be here I think. They COULD pull a Tom Hooper if either film starts to gain more traction in the precursors but if anything they feel like they're losing steam. If there is a deviation from the DGA list then I think Spielberg might edge out one of the Mc's.

TalismanRing
McCarthy has had a rather unique year starting off with The Cobbler and ending with Spotlight.
MovieMan89
I think if there's a surprise in this category, it will be a McCarthy snub. I feel like that film has way less momentum than people think. Maybe Harvey will work his magic and score Haynes that spot. stripe
Never underestimate Weinstein or Spielberg powers! McKay and McCarthy are good bets, but I can see any of them (or both) snubbed. Remember what happened with Argo?
Blankments
Personal rankings: George Miller, Mad Max: Fury Road Adam McKay, The Big Short Alejandro G. Inarritu, The Revenant Tom McCarthy, Spotlight I need to see Room.
WrathOfHan
Since Ridley Scott won NBR, this is the fourth year in a row the NBR Director winner has missed a nomination at the Oscars. Whoever wins NBR next year isn't going to be in my predictions depending on who it is. Edited January 16, 2016 by WrathOfHan
