IMO you like Gump or you don't. There's no real argument to have against the film besides 'it didn't work on me.'Anyway, I usually cry when I watch either Gump or Shawshank.

I think this prison breaking fairy tale is highly over-rated on the internet. It's a great film, but just not as great as many claimed to be.

I just rewatched this for the first time since I was in middle school, and while it is not my personal favorite film of all-time, I think this is as close to a perfect film as there will ever be. Every single thing works. What an uplifting masterpiece.Can't be anything besides an A+

wonderful and feel-good. perhaps just a little too much for my tastes at times, makes it feel a little generic and overdone. but not really, still great.

Might I add that the score for this movie was absolutely brilliant.

One the best movies I have ever seen, It just seemed to get better and better as it went along and the ending was amazing. When I first saw it I didn't really know anything about it so it really surprised me just how hopeful and happy this movie was.

I don't think Stephen King is human.  To be able to write what he writes is inhuman.  When you write Shawshank, Stand By Me, Cujo, It, The Stand, Needful Things, The Green Mile and so on, your brain is not like the rest of us.
