Monday F7 13.9

Recommended Posts

I don't know of anyone anwhere off. I live in the Bible Belt and I've never heard of Easter Monday. But okkkkk if yall say so.

no need to be a jerk about it

I think the private and public schools in the Toledo area are off all week.

For the folks overseas or who don't know, school systems in the US don't all follow the same schedule. Some start a few weeks before others in August, some schools finish in May and some go through to mid or even late June. They all have different breaks scheduled throughout the year, with spring breaks and Easter breaks being different too.

I'm expecting around $13m today.

Hmm... I was thinking 12-12.5 or so. 10% drop, give or take a little.

W-Th around 10m each, though?

So... Others expecting around $50M this coming weekend for Furious 7? Or, is the realistic expectation a bit lower/higher than $50M?

Higher, probably. If it tracks with previous franchise entries, it'd probably be around 55m. I could see it going a bit higher, even in the 60-65 range.

As stated, it's a quasi-holiday. I have no clue what the actual percentage is, but I'd guess that maybe 30-40% of the schools around the country are off.

There is no Easter Monday so to speak. But there are kids that have this week off. Not all but some.

Not being a jerk, just saying I don't care at this point. I made my post 5 hours ago. Today is no holiday for sure so we'll see how it goes, but holiday or no holiday, Fast 7 still beat half of the top 9 yesterday. How today plays out? We'll see tomorrow.

$50 million would be awful considering this should do roughly $45-50 million in weekdays. Even with spring break taken into account, the weekday total doesn't usually line up with the weekend total... usually it makes up 65-70% as opposed to the usual 35-50%.

I'm expecting $65-70 million since Longest Ride is really nothing in terms of competition

All government jobs were not working Monday in Canada. All schools were out in Ontario.

I'm not sure how big of a difference it'll make though because most people don't work in the Public Sector, and like for schools some provinces are on spring break and unis are done now (which really is FF7's target audience). So I doubt having easter monday will make too much of a difference.
