Taylor
Open Road acquired U.S. rights to Fifty Shades Of Black, the Marlon Wayans comedy that IM Global is producing and funding. I’m told final bidding came down to The Weinstein Company and Relativity, and that Open Road paid a $5 million minimum guarantee and committed to a wide January 29, 2016 release date. http://deadline.com/2015/06/50-shades-of-black-marlon-wayans-open-road-spoof-1201437086/ Edited June 3, 2015 by Taylor
Maxmoser3
I really liked the first two Scary Movies, I liked A Haunted House. This might not be bad but after A Haunted House 2's lackluster box office performance last spring it proves that spoof movies are dying out. DAJK
"So this is deemed okay, but if it was 50 Shades of White, people would have a problem and call it racist." I wouldn't have a problem one way or another, but I can admittedly see where you're coming from.

kowhite
"So this is deemed okay, but if it was 50 Shades of White, people would have a problem and call it racist." While there's a point here, maybe... While privilege and all...it's real. So...whatever. Do it Marlon.
TServo2049
While there's a point here, maybe... While privilege and all...it's real. So...whatever. Do it Marlon. Still won't be funny, if their recent stuff is any indication. I want the In Living Color Wayanses back. They'd make this funny.

marveldcfox
Will be the first movie in 2016 to dislodge Star Wars from #1 spot.

Wait, doesn't this open the same day as KFP3 That will certainly outgross this.
TheMovieman
Oh, her head gets squished by elevator doors! Classic. I think based on what this is parodying, it'll open like $15-20M and then like all spoof movies, fall off the face of the earth.
