That would have been awful if the two kids were the only main characters. They were just tolerable as it was. Anymore of them would have been annoying for sure.

The younger kid was blah, but I really liked the older one. And if you based the entire movie around them and spent delicate time characterizing them I feel they could have turned out to be interesting characters

(This was already a great movie experience so I'm not complaining This was all a hypothetical instance to counteract by biggest problem with the movie)
