Bishop54
Just rewatched Jupiter ascending on glorious Blu Ray. Why the dinosaurs of this movie didn ' t connect with a four quadrant audience like Jurassic World ? Because those dinos wore leather jackets. BadAtGender
The first Transformers is a better movie than Jurassic World. It's not GREAT, mind, and it has a lot of plot elements that make things unnecessarily busy, but it does have bits that are pretty good. The Scorponok sequence is great tension. And the first act of "a boy and his car" has a great Spielbergian flair. Now LATER TF films are of more questionable quality.
PDC1987
God has spoken. It is gonna be a photo finish this weekend. Ted struggling to hit 30M How is it struggling to hit $30 million when it's at $25 million plus after at least a $12 million Saturday? lol

I'd put it on the same level as JW as well, I may also even prefer it.
ACSlater
Who really gives two squirrel shits if Ethan finds Transformers better than JW? Let the guy have his opinion and we'll have our opinions. Kell...you clearly don't understand how Internet forums work... redfirebird2008
JW has a small chance to beat TA's 3rd weekend now if it's on the high end of the range. 14.7 23 (+56.5%) 18 (-21.7%) Seems difficult, but not impossible based on RTH's report. After Wed/Thurs, looked like 50 was in serious trouble. I'll just be glad if it can stay within a few mill of TA1 on the weekend number since it gained another 13 during the weekdays. If IO and JW both beat TA's 3rd weekend, we'd have the 2nd and 3rd best 3rd weekend in the same weekend.
Bishop54
May want to redo that math lol. Yeah, you're right...that's why I asked someone else to do it. I'm not good doing it in my head.

Empire
IO/JP4 close again IO 21-23,JP4 22-23,Ted2 12-13 Great increase for IO & JW! I want JW to barely win, so IO can get that record from MBFGW.
Mojoguy
That would be pretty amazing given the Ted DUD. TED flopping just means JW and IO doing better this weekend.

CJohn
What if IO and JW are number 1 and 2 over the weekend again next week?
Bishop54
So more math, the high end and low end with Rth's numbers factoring a logical drop for both films tomorrow would give each film what?
Fancyarcher
Except I'm an idiot because it just occurred to me this isn't IO's 3rd weekend. Inside Out is definitely outgrossing Toy Story 3 now.
Fancyarcher
What if IO and JW are number 1 and 2 over the weekend again next week? It would have to be a pretty epic fail of a weekend for that to happen, and I'm ready for it.

If its from 14.7 to 22m, that's a nearly 50% increase. Edited June 28, 2015 by BoxOfficeZ
