This article in Forbes made me feel somewhat sorry for Paramount. They seem to be floundering currently with a release schedule which looks somewhere between sparse and barren, and next to no major tentpoles domestically. Hard to believe that they got the MCU going and had Indiana Jones and Dreamworks in 2008, just 7 years later and they have nothing.

They decided to not renew with Dreamworks. They are as fucked as Sony.

Legit, I see 95M being the highest it goes. I see under Inside Out OW as a very distinct possibility.

All the buzz is gone among kids; it peaked too early.

I guess we will see this weekend. I'm sure the Inside Out stan army is waiting with glee.

Dude, I don't even need to be a Pixar or Inside Out stan to root against the Minions  I have a substantial amount of anecdotal evidence that makes me think Minions are doomeeeed.

And by doomed I mean locked for 80M+ OW, so not really doomed at all.

They decided to not renew with Dreamworks. They are as fucked as Sony.

Yet they're in a better position than Sony IMO. Transformers and MI are heavy hitters, Star Trek is a solid performer, TMNT did well for a franchise starter, and the Paranormal Activity movies are huge ROIs. Sony lacks franchises outside of Spider-Man, Bond (which they may lose if they cheap out), and Jump Street (solid performance but nothing huge).

Paranormal Activity ends this October. I will be shocked if they don't do another Spongebob, tho, and WWZ2 is already on the schedule. Lets see how the reboots of The Ring and Friday the 13th work.

Sony has Spider-Man, Ghostbusters, Smurfs, Hotel Transylvania, Angry Birds, The Equalizer, Jump Street, Men in Black (a reboot one way or another is happening sooner or later), Inferno, and I think Pixels is gonna be a new franchise for them.

It won't be there for some more weeks or ever lol, unless it reaches 350m+ or 400m+. Look at the totals of every movie.
