DeeCee
Of the animated films I've seen this year(less the 2 hours to go). I'd have to say Tin Tin is clearly the best. Granted, it's the only one I've seen.
A Marvel Fanboy
Tintin is easily the best !
CoolioD1
Even with the Tintin snub (mo cap bias IMO) Paramount must still be really pleased with getting 3/5 of the nominees. Rango is basically locked for the win, I think.
cookie
Every animated film from Paramount except Tintin got nominated. Very impressive.
SchumacherFTW
Rango's pretty much had this locked since the reviews for Cars 2 started trickling in...
AniNate
I could be wrong but I think this is the first year Disney has been completely snubbed. Winnie probably deserved to be there over Panda, but they should've submitted Arrietty
Travod
It probably didn't have a release in LA. Maybe this year.
AniNate
They can't submit it this year. It was released in Japan in 2010. What I'm saying is that they should've had an LA screening this year. Couldn't have been that difficult, could it?
Travod
Well it wouldn't have won anyway and it's not Miyazaki.

Bluebomb
Nvm.Surprised that From Up on Poppy Hill didn't get nominated. Panda 2 > every other nominated release Edited January 24, 2012 by Bluebomb
Jawa
I guess I didn't realize until today that Tintin was the only animated film I saw last year. Oh well. At least it won the Globe.
Jonwo
I'm surprised Puss in Boots and KFP2 got nominated over both Tintin and Arthur Christmas, AC IMO should got nominated over PIB.
whoot
I could be wrong but I think this is the first year Disney has been completely snubbed. Winnie probably deserved to be there over Panda, but they should've submitted ArriettyIn 2005 Disney didn't have any nominees from their studio, though Howl's Moving Castle was nominated and it was distributed by them... But if you want to count that for Disney then you can count Chico & Rita for Disney this year since they distributed that as well. ;)In any case, I would have liked WtP to get a nom, but the ones that were nominated that I've seen (I haven't seen C&R and A Cat in Paris), I have no problem with. Just glad Cars 2 didn't get nominated as that actually gives Pixar's other nominations/wins more credibility. AniNate
They did? Thought that was GKIDSI'm looking on IMDB and I don't see any mention of Disney anywhere Edited January 25, 2012 by tribefan695
cookie
I can only find Disney distributing C&R in Spain while it's only been in the U.S through festivals. Edited January 25, 2012 by C00k13
whoot
Yeah, sorry, I meant only in Spain. I still wouldn't count Howl's as Disney's anyway.
AniNate
Well, if it was to be submitted for an American award, wouldn't it have been Disney that submitted it?
kayumanggi
The other nominated films won't pull an upset? I haven't heard of them.
AniNate
A Cat in Paris could do it, I think
