Monday #s NOTHING IS CRUMBLING OKAY

Recommended Posts

P.S - PDC, I am perfectly aware of the fact that it will still end up almost 300m behind JW -_-

PDC obviously didn't read this part, next time add it to the original post. Even then he'd probably find a way around it though. Broken record is broken.

Preview showtimes in OC for the openers:

- Vacation with 75 showtimes 2 days prior to release

- Rogue Nation with 73 showtimes 4 days prior

Baselines for 2 days prior to opening: Pixels 102 (it actually reduced the day of release and ended with 88 - kind of unprecedented), Southpaw with 62, Paper Towns with 57. For 1 day prior to opening: Terminator + Magic Mike 156, Ant-Man 142, Trainwreck 75, Minions 227.  No baselines for 4 days prior.

Looks like Vacation may do around 2M to 2.5M if showtime escalation continues. Would compare favorably to We Are The Millers which made 1.7M Tuesday previews.

Rogue Nation looking to do around 5-6M if showtimes increase as expected.

Updates:

- Vacation is up to 90 showtimes for tonight

- Rogue Nation is up to 102 showtimes with 2 days left

Vacation is well above Southpaw, Paper Towns and Pixels, still thinking 2-2.5M previews. Rogue Nation gained some major traction in showtimes and could challenge Ant-Man's final showtime count by Thursday, will end below Ant-Man's previews since it is only 2D.

I totally forgot there's still another Hunger Games movie (or that I saw the last one, lol). I guess this one should go up but the admissions bump should be more in line with Twilight than Potter.

Look at AVATAR, just crushing TA's and JW's summer weekdays in the dead of February.

What is an Avatar? What is a Titanic? Certainly not things from this world for sure. JW and Avengers are number 1 and 2 WW and DOM as far as I know.

Looking inside all of the numbers, anything is possible, but there is almost no way IO doesn't pass F7.

It will be a little over 330 after it's 7th weekend. It's been daily tracking ahead of DM2 for weeks now and DM2 made 22 million after it's 7th weekend. That would put IO over 352, but like I said, it's been tracking ahead of DM2 for weeks an shows no signs of not continuing that pace. I also think it could have its first day tracking ahead of TS3 tomorrow.

I think we will surely hit a new high for Superbowl commercial prices this year: https://variety.com/2015/film/news/super-bowl-ads-live-stream-cbs-tv-commercials-1201549892/

TV’s most memorable and most-watched commercials will no longer be relegated to the TV set.

For nearly half a century, the only way for the average consumer to see all the glitzy commercials that accompanied the Super Bowl was to watch a broadcast of the game on television.

In 2016, CBS intends to shake things up, by live-streaming – in as close to real-time as possible – every single national ad that supports its February 7, 2016, telecast of Super Bowl 50. The maneuver is one that could have seismic ramifications for the media business, as it essentially forces the event’s big-spending sponsors to consider online impressions and TV ratings at the same time, not separately, as has been common practice.

Details of CBS’ plan have been making the rounds of media-buying agencies, according to two executives with knowledge of the offer as well as another person familiar with the situation. “It’s a huge deal,” said one buyer. “They are not going to let people opt out” of live-streaming. CBS did not make executives available for comment.

CBS has pressed for a price increase for Super Bowl commercials, according to executives familiar with negotiations. The buying executives suggested the network wanted at least $4.5 million to $4.7 million for a 30-second spot in the game, while another person with knowledge of talks suggested that range represented the low end of what is being discussed with sponsors. In comments made to investors and analysts in February, CBS Corp.Chief Executive Leslie Moonves said the network wanted “north of $5 million” for a 30-second Super Bowl spot.

Hopefully the movie trailers which run during the superbowl will be well thought out unlike these

This blows my mind:

31) Titanic - $309,605,750 (Mon - $1,505,547)

The movie made more than double its current total after day 39.

For comparison, this is Inside Out

25) Inside Out - $321,545,325(Mon - $1,151,986)

No one is saying it will hit 650M, 350M is being debated here.

I doubt we will see more than 2 or 3 movies getting SB TV Spots tbh.

Disney is the king at SB Spots for non-Marvel/non-Live Action Fairy Tale proprieties.

Best Super Bowl spot is still ID4.

"ENJOY THE SUPER BOWL. IT COULD BE YOUR LAST."

The JW spot was also a great awareness builder (from what I'm aware - I didn't watch it until after I saw the movie, I didn't want anything to be spoiled)
