Yeah I edited that in. She was killed off solely because killing off Ana Lucia would have elicited just a yawn from 90% of the audience.

O'Quinn was already an established character actor before he did Lost. His post-Lost career has been very disappointing, but hey at least he's on Hawaii-Five 0.
