No no no no. Pound for pound, Apple TV+ has the best original stuff in streaming. With everyone trying to be Netflix (throw everything against the wall and see what sticks) or Disney (IP’s until we die), Apple is the only one trying to be the streaming version of HBO (and not the content whore owned by AT&T, I mean heyday Sopranos HBO).

What? Their two biggest tentpole shows from last year suck.

Which 2 would that be? I assume you mean Foundation and....See? The Morning Show?

A lot of people jumped off of Foundation too quickly. It turned it around pretty well the 2nd off of the season. See S2 was also much improved over S1. I don't watch TMS (not my bag) but I don't recall many saying it sucked.

Since this franchise is moving to TV (which is a shame), is Dune Part 2 the only theatrical release Legendary has coming up?

Officially, yes. They have "Brothers" and "The Toxic Avenger" on their slate as well but the release is unknown.

The Deadline article literally says they have a new Monsterverse movie in development.

Talks about expanding the universe via a series began after Godzilla v. Kong became one of the first big box-office hits in the pandemic era. Legendary already is developing the next untitled film set in the Monsterverse but saw potential in developing a series and began talking to buyers that were interested.

I’m hoping the show is like the x files for kaiju. Just following Monarch on different adventures, a literal monster of the week format. But the synopsis claims it’s about a family discovering the monsters or something lame like that.

Glad to hear the next theatrical entry is still in development (presumably Son of Kong with Wingard directing). Hopefully we get some more movie announcements, fingers crossed for a Godzilla 3 or Mothra film.
