I forgot it still had the Nordic countries, Hong Kong and maybe The Middle East (does it have release dates there) as well as Japan. $600m looks in play.

It's no Zootopia or Frozen (Zootopia's performance is simply stunning), but it will still get past $20 million and given that two local blockbusters will be released and Your Name will continue to deliver the goods and could gross north of $40 million, that is a great total for Moana. I'm expecting anywhere north of $20 million and $40 million from S. Korea and Japan respectively for a cumulative of $60+ million from those two countries. Remaining markets could cash in $20+ million for $80+ million which would bring Moana's worldwide cumulative to $582 million and around $20+ million from remaining markets brings its overall worldwide cumulative to $600+ million. If Moana does "bomb" when concerning the current performance of WDAS films in Japan, then Moana MIGHT not hit $600 million, but that's a big what if. Even Inside Out grossed $32.5 million in Japan and that was defeated by Minions in terms of gross in Japan (IO, $32.5M VS Minions, $42.7M).
Captain H
There's a slight relation on how a film performs in Japan and S. Korea. Films that do well in South Korea tends to do well in Japan as well, and vice versa. I don't think there's any recent big Hollywood flicks that do well in S. Korea but bombed in Japan. I think $25 million (4 million admission, 40% of Frozen's, and around 85% of Zoo's) is possible for Moana in SK. Taking that percentage with a grain of salt, and go with the Zootopia comparison, I think $60 million from Japan isn't too crazy.

Although in the midst of strong competition from two local blockbusters and Your Name, Moana is doing really well. I'm expecting a finish north of 3 million admissions and anything above $20 million. Additionally, Brazil should post strong numbers above $20 million and could beat Frozen as the largest WDAS release of all time. If Japan follow suit with these really good late market performances, then anything north of $40/50/60 million should be enough to levy Moana above the $600 million threshold globally!
ttr
Looks like Moanas DOM weekend numbers are lower than Tangled had in 2010, even if the weekdays are better. PanaMovie
Moana also had a milestone of its own to celebrate as it reached $500m globally, taking $12.9m from its 40 territories for $272.5m overseas and $509.3m worldwide. The animation opened top in Turkey with $500k for the highest opening of all time for an animated release and also sailed into Argentina with a chart-topping $1.4m. It opens in Hong Kong and Taiwan next weekend. Source: Screen Daily

As with every other release, Moana got hit hard by the two local blockbusters that got released during its second week and the release of the final installment of the Resident Evil franchise which took away a chunk of its screens. However, Moana should rebound somewhat this weekend as 설날 falls on the 27th, 28th, and 30th of this week. That POWAH! True. Beauty and the Beast's OS gross was only $206M. $80M lower than Aladdin. However, the one other 2D animated Disney film that DID come pretty close to Aladdin's OS gross........is none other than Tarzan! That film made $277M OS.
