Not too many fanboy movies deserve to make the top 10 this year.

 

The only stand out is Mad Max.

 

Hopefully TFA will be another.

Anything with a 2015 US release date is eligible.

Maybe there should be a top 15 smaller films and a top 15 big budget films.

 

We want at least one list to maintain credibility.

I think that's a very good idea especially since even if these films are eventually watched it's often after they hit Netflix and voting is over. We could divide them like the Independent Spirit Awards - movies below (a reported) $20m budget.

What about if it's having a qualifying run for this year's oscars but hasn't been on general release in the US yet? Aka I really want to have The Boy and the Beast in my list!
