Who said anything about inflation adjusted. Creed did gross more than Rocky Balboa with $79,321,018 vs. $70,270,943.

and why should we not count the inflation ?

What does matter is Tickets sold.

Rocky Balboa sold more tickets than Creed for now...

I hate the comparisons without Inflation adjusted.

Steve Jobs has taught us not to put too much stake in limited openings. Great to be sure, but it needs to keep up the buzz, which may be a lot harder at Christmas with other prestige movies coming out.

I think the Christmas openers are gonna be rather subdued this year, or least not come close to the huge numbers that Unbroken and Into the Woods put up last year. Buzz for Joy has become pretty subdued since the reviews came in, Concussion might be too depressing, Point Break seems like an inevitable flop, and Daddy's Home...eh, who wants to see Will Ferrell and Marky Mark duke it out in a PG-rated family comedy?

Wasn't Ryan Reynolds also named Sexiest Man Alive in 2010 right before his flop 2011 (to add salt that wound, his marriage to Scarlett Johansson also ended)? Being named People's Sexiest Man Alive is more of a curse than a blessing obviously.

Hemsworth’s “coronation” as People’s Sexiest Man Alive is part of an onslaught of media coverage designed to make audiences believe that the dude is a movie star. He is just the latest marginally talented himbo that Hollywood chooses as their it boy. The problem is that audiences are not yet convinced. Convsely, look at Pratt...he was also shoved down our throats by the Hollywood powers that be, but audiences did warm up to him.

They don't pick just actors, though. They just named David Beckham Sexiest Man Alive for this year, for instance (luckily for him, he won't suffer "the curse" because he's not an actor lol).

I fucked up Krampus in the Derby. I was expecting a bigger drop. My numbers for MJ2 and Sea were also a bit too high...
