I've watched it twice. Once at the Vancouver Film Festival. 

It's not even close to a mess, but I do agree that it's his worst work. It's kinda hard to live up to Synecdoche, NY and Eternal Sunshine. 

It's a 9.5 out of 10. Definitely a strong effort, but it really felt at certain points that they were hampered by their finances in post. Still one of the best films of the year though.

Really? Did you sem them all back to back? It is gorgeous and so meditative and soothing. An absolutely perfect end. Calling any part of a six and a half hour film "endless" seems so reductive when a large part of Arabian Night's is its length. It isn't supposed to be an easy watch.
