My math really sucks, but here is a best guess....

Purge - $14.4m

Tarzan - $14m

Dory - $13.2m

BFG - $7m

Independence Day - $4.7m

Central Intelligence - $3.7m

The Shallows - $3m

Lol BFG.

That is way more than I expected for Tarzan.

Shame BFG doesn't seem to be doing that well. ~$7m Friday doesn't give me much hope of it going much over $20m 3-day. Don't see that good a multiplier for it either, so it's definitely falling way short of its budget DOM. Maybe overseas will do better? There'll be better brand recognition in the UK at the very least.

Awesome Purge number.

Consider me rather impressed by that Tarzan number. Yeah, WB's still gonna loose a ton on it, but it could've been so much worse. Who knows, it might even end up making more than Independence Day 2 (which is looking to barely pass $100M at this point, serves it right).

Wow. That is fantastic for Purge and great for Tarzan! Also great for CI. And wow at The BFG. What a bomb...

14.4 = 3.60 + 10.80 for PURGE

14.0 = 2.55 + 11.45 for TARZAN

7.0 = 0.775 + 6.225 for BFG

DORY takes true Friday with 13.2m

Roughly,

#1 DORY 44m/55m (385m)

#2 TARZAN 37.5m/44.5m

#3 PURGE 32.5m/38m

#4 BFG 23m/30m

#2 TARZAN 37m/43.5m

#3 PURGE 32.5m/38m

#4 BFG 23.5m/30m

BFG is not hitting 30m... I think 25m for Fri-Mon is more likely. Maybe Less.

Much better than 2015 and 2014.

Am thinking,

7 (0.775 + 6.225) + 8 + 8 + 7 = 30

http://www.boxofficemojo.com/daily/chart/?sortdate=2011-07-04&p=.htm (July 4th on Monday)

I see. But then, why such a weak Monday for Tarzan. Following this pattern, even Dark of the Moon, which opened much higher, had only a 7.5% drop. Assuming a 10m un (and that is rather low) Fri-Mon should come over 46m. Or at least 45.

Gap between TDK and DORY

1st weekend : 23.3m (158.4m vs 135.1m)

2nd weekend : 27.5m (313.8m vs 286.3m)

3rd weekend : 19.5m (393.8m vs ~374.3m; using 44m 3-day for DORY)

After Monday the gap will reduce to 14m (400m vs 386m)

I at least see DORY doing 515m. 100m clear of TS3.

So, no more $600M ? :(

Yeah my Tarzan's a bit low. Should do 45m with 14m Friday.
