NP Tuesday Numbers (TREK) 7.0

Recommended Posts

@mahnamahna

Continuing the question from the Monday thread:

I checked box officemojo, and Shark Tale was not in the top 10 when Spongebob debuted.

http://www.boxofficemojo.com/daily/chart/?sortdate=2004-11-19

So Monday really might have been the first time 4 movies in the top 10 were animated.

And one of them was R-rated!

TREK looking at 155-165 imo.

After 5 days TREK will have a ~1m lead over ANT-MAN.

ANT-MAN should well catch up by the 2nd weekend and could get a tiny lead too.

I think in the end it's lead will increase by 15m+.

How many times does it have to be said before you guys understand that you don't freak out one way or another because of the first Tuesday and Wednesday of a films run?

I actually do like Emma Roberts quite a bit and wish she would get better roles. Even if she is a crazy boyfriend beater. ;)

It seems she's not dating Quicksilver anymore, though.

Good for him, guy deserves better.

The fact they actually continued to be a couple for some time after that kind of ass-whooping is something else.

If Trek only makes 150m, Paramount is going to reboot TNG and get a new Captain Picard, which would piss me off.

There is only one Picard, he is played by Patrick Stewart!

Lol you keep posting this in threads and it would never happen haha the TNG movies were way less popular. Rebooting them would shrink the growing fanbase. A huge reason these new movies have a stigma is because of TNG. Its exactly the overly nerdy thing ST was trying to distance its self from.

@Baumer Since I can't reply on the Monday #s thread, I'll reply here: I wish that ends up being true but SLOP will still come freakishly close to IO – and that's what worries me.

Well I hope it passes IO. I liked IO but anytime a Pixar film falls an angel gets its wings.
