Highly recommend the 1987 Soviet version if you haven't seen it (it's on YouTube with subtitles). Appropriately gloomy and keeps the original ending.

Thanks Jake! Will do.

I watched two movie adaptations of the books, but both in English, and I didn't really enjoy much of the more optimistic endings as well as some alterations choice they made.

Yeah, weekend dailies break down does show a better Sunday, by around 500k more than estimation, so nile was right. It's just both Fri and Sat actuals are lower than early reports.

Nile was looking at Sunday only I think, so he got it right. Went up by ~0.5M.

Fri (13.35=>13.10) and Sat(17.9=>17.53) decreased.

What's the 3rd weekend drop of SS going to be like?

50-55% (just throwing out a guess)

I'm thinking 55% to 60%, probably somewhere right in between those two number. Sausage Party will hold well enough, War Dogs will eat into the audience of both Sausage Party and Suicide Squad and Ben-Hur will flop but steal a small portion of the action audience. Not to mention, WOM seems mixed at best as of now and it's already shown to frontloaded like the 4th or 5th movie in a series rather than a non-sequel. So... I'm saying 57% for something just under $19M.

The median of BvS legs and MOS legs for Suicide Squad from here on out would put it at 297.5m domestic. 300 isn't ruled out yet but we probably need another week to know for sure.

Sausage Party's Sunday hold is killer. If it follows Superbad it'll have a 5m Monday. I'd expect a worse drop but its weekdays should be really solid while schools are still out.

Way too handsome and way too tall lol. But I'm down for him hamming up the mannerisms and quirks of Poirot.

I LOVE And Then There Were None!! It's actually the book I want to see get adapted onscreen for modern cinema the most out of AC library. I think it'll make for a great thriller/crime drama movie.

I love it too. We'll have to get together and do our dream cast for it.

Civil War dropped 60% and that was a movie that critics loved and had a very strong positive reaction overall.  So SS a film that critics did not just dislike but loathed and audiences were more mixed then with CW;  I can't see how 67% is a disaster.  This is what CBM are now.  Huge opening weekend and then average to weak legs. Maybe something like Doctor Strange can have a merely solid opening and stretch it out if WOM is strong but more and more it's going to be big frontloading followed by  "meh"

It dropped 59% I'll have you know.

So we may have gotten a little fooled by the summer weekdays with SS.

did a little better than BvS in drops but not much.

Overall it actually lost ground to BVS the last 7 days. Gaines about 3 MM during the week but lost about 8MM over the weekend

After OW it was $32.33MM behind. After 2nd weekend it is 37.77 behind.

it is outpacing it a little on weekdays but gives it back and more on the weekends because BvS started at a higher number.

it needs to outpace BvS by about $7.5MM the rest of its run to hit $300. i think Labor Day may help it there, but we'll see.

It will for sure get a boost Labor Day as long as nothing else big is opening.
