Rebeccas
Europe is all about Star Wars, James Bond and Harry Potter. Culturally, they don't really have as much of an attachment to superheroes as Americans do and they're also not all that nostalgic for childhood superhero TV shows that were big in the U.S.

Marvel/DC are everywhere in America during childhood and teen years. Now that has been extended into adulthood by the golden age of superhero movies. Only Star Wars is more popular. In Europe, James Bond/Harry Potter/LOTR/POTC are more popular than superheroes but I doubt that's due to greater maturity. Europeans simply never thoroughly explored the sci fi/ fantasy mythos of comics as deeply as the Americans have subconsciously. Plus, Europeans like uniquely European concepts like James Bond/Harry Potter/LOTR/POTC, and there's nothing wrong with that. I personally find Marvel/DC much broader and interesting but that's just me.

Doesn’t seem in line with OD numbers available so far. Unless the ones from unreported markets are just really low. Unless the ones from unreported markets are just really low. Most of the available numbers so far are quite close to Thor and from smaller markets (barring Brazil of course). In bigger markets like Russia, France, Germany Thor is ahead of JL. China too JL is behind Thor but only by very little. But in SK which is one of the biggest markets to have opened barring China, JL is running behind by nearly half. seduh
JL won´t have great legs, it may not be BvS but it won´t be a leggy film. It will make less than Thor 3 for sure

Blaze Heatnix
BVS had the worst word of mouth for a comic book movie in ages. Drops were brutal everywhere. Even if JL opens with less, at least it has the chance of holding better and dropping less, thus eliminating the difference with BVS ( regarding numbers ) and making a little more in the long haul. Hell, even Fantastic Four ( 2015 ) have a higher multiplier than BVS. lol
