Never ever happened, films like Tron and Hobbit 3 had over that multiplier.

Tron deserved getting over a 3, it was one of the better releases that used 3D even if a lot of it was crap. Not to mention the soundtrack is amazing.

Its rather simple if Civil War opened this weekend, it would have opened lower but got better legs, because its the holidays.

Passengers will be a dud (likely make near 100 million due to Star Power)

AC is not trending at all.

My guess, WOM among most people will be decent to good, some fans will be over the moon for it, not all too dissimilar from reviews. It ends on a strong note and that some (including myself to a degree) are gonna go bonkers for it.

 

That score though...the third act's powah could have been immeasurable.

Not to mention the economy is strong and people will want something to do after how draining this year has been. It's a no brainer to hold well over the holidays regardless of what it opens to.

I mean, the last 45 minutes had me feeling good all over. The sight of X-Wings in attack formation is such a beauty for me. While the space battle couldn't compare to the stakes of ROTJ, it was nice we got a dedicated space battle for once.

 

And then yes...those last 5 minutes.
