95m for Smh with a shot at 100m

That would be really low for Spider Man in MCU.

Even TASM 2 got 91 million for its opening weekend, and that was 3 years ago. If Homecoming makes 95 million, that's quite disappointing for such well reviewed movie.

Iron Man is in the movie, so I guess he'll give a boost. 130 million for its opening weekend. :)

Homecoming might have to do the repair work for Spidey for the general audience that Batman Begins did for Bats.  Big rewards come with a well-made sequel.

Might be the case, but this Spidey movie is following Civil War and has other Marvel characters in it. By the way, Spidey probably made the repair work in Civil War. People loved him in the movie and are excited to see him again.

TASM 2 was entirely solo. Homecoming deserves so much more. 130 million should happen, hopefully.

I can't see 130 yet based on presales report. Based on that this is heading for a 100-110 opening.

Based on reports from East Coast showtimes and sellouts however it is tracking close to SS rather than WW. Proboxoffice forecast is 125. So overall I would say 110-120 OW would be a safe bet.

MT

DM3: 44.1

BD: 12.6

WW: 11.2

TF5: 6.8

C3: 5.1

Pulse

WW

TF5

TH

DM3 dropping isn't a good sign for today.

OTTH, BD rising from 9.8 to 12.6 compared to 24 hours ago is looking good for a strong Saturday.

All Friday openers drop on Saturday on MT because Friday includes the preview numbers and most weekend tickets are also bought on Friday. It is the most inflated day on MT.

Thanks for clarifying.

If MT is any indication, I would say WW had a great day. TF5 has stayed within 80-85% of WW for the past several days but now it's just at 60%. Plus it's closed the gap between it and BD somewhat.

WW is looking great for strong Saturday. Also, If it's any indication BD is looking a good increase, too.

people are tweeting sold out and packed WW showings; fewer showings and smaller auditoriums sure, but still nice.
