Really depends on what you're looking for, but usually the most important takeaway for just a casual glance is the comp.  More on that in a bit.   But even that is highly dependent on a movie being either in a similar genre or having a similar pre-sale pattern as folks will buy tickets at different times during a pre-sale window thanks to a very long list of factors.   Add in that movies will have different promotional schedules during their pre-sales (review embargoes, TV ca

The IMAX screen near me is sold out for Wednesday midnight, 95% for Thursday, 85% for Friday through Sunday (only 2 front rows available) but it's also 80% for Discount Tuesday.  

 

Some (probably quite a lot) fans might have missed good seats on OD and already bought tickets for a second show with better seats (like me) or some might have missed them entirely and bought seats for a standard 2D show on OD and IMAX tickets for some other day. I don't know if it's just my city but the most expensive tickets in every theater are gone (IMAX, 4DX, Platinum, 3D) with only the 2D shows being half-full.

 

Btw, in comparison, I bought IW tickets 2 days before opening and they were nice seats but it still sold out at the end (midnight show so most likely fans). Perhaps a lot of people that aren't used buy them so early will spread out through weekdays and 2nd weekend. 

 

As a percentage of presales, walk-ups will be far less for EG than IW. 

However, I still believe EG will have roughly the same number of walkups and last minutes purchases as IW had total. That's what will make this crazy.

If anything MT is actually underperforming for Endgame compared to Fandango. As per pulse, EG was 40.5% of total sales during last 24 hours while MT is around 35%. Shazam is 12% in both.

 

In actual, Endgame pre-sales would be atleast double of Shazam Wednesday. Online sales are more than thrice.

I totally get wanting to urge caution, but I think we’ll be pivoting to the ramp up period soon now. Just too short a presales run to really bottom out.
