Looks like it's gonna be large theater drops for some still good-performing holdovers...it had to eventually happen, and it seems theaters are deciding to drop them in favor of picking up the many new releases...

 

As for my theaters, they seem to be deciding late on their sets...neither has done more than pre-sell some openers on single screens (Christopher Robin, Darkest Minds, and The Spy Who Dumped Me at one and Christopher Robin and The Spy Who Dumped Me at the other)...and they may still pick up another movie opener...I'm expecting no new movie to get double screened, but I'll be interested to see what good performing holdovers get dropped...

Dog Days got moved up two days to the 8th apparently. Previews will be Tuesday at 7.

My AMC still doesn't have full showtimes up for the weekend; the only shows up are Christopher Robin and The Darkest Minds (which is probably gonna get downgraded to a smaller auditorium) from when they first went on sale

Christopher Robin is running at the same pace as HT3 ($44M OW), 191% ahead of Wonder ($78.7M OW), 105% ahead of Daddy 2 ($59.7M OW), 46% ahead of Wrinkle ($51M OW) and 23% behind Coco ($38.8M OW).

 

This is great for Robin. Thinking $35M-$40M but $30M-$35M seems more likely.
