@LonePirate Hidden Figures and Bad Moms are the exception not the rule - note my response to the other poster.

 

And hidden figures played more 4quad in the end. WOM is the necessary ingredient for anything these days, but franchise flicks that appeal to female demos are just as front loaded (if not more so depending on the film) as their male counterparts.

 

Nobody truly expected a 4.0x for WW pre-release and most of us that predicted over 300m in the summer game were not expecting to get there after OW.

Apocalypse was inarguably great according to who? It had poor reviews and died after opening weekend.
