YM!
@cayommagazine I know the answer but what about you. Do you think you have what it takes? These are lines spoken by the deceased Abin Sur (Ken Watanabe) who makes a few flashback appearances. Green Lantern Corps: Home is the sequel to the Y5 blockbuster, Green Lantern Corps: Rise of The Manhunters. The predecessor went on to be the highest start for a space opera franchise worldwide, grossing over $1B. Despite that, the film had the worst start domestically, receiving mixed-positive reviews at 72, being worse reviewed than Spark: Rising and Voltron. Xavier B. Irving acknowledges while the action was amazing, the clear problem was the awful pacing and overstuffing. Irving hopes that the film will hopefully captivate more people. Directed by Christopher McQuarrie (Mission Impossible: Fallout), Green Lantern Corps: Home takes place about three years after the original film, as member of the Green Lanterns, the defenders of the galaxy, as well as best friends human Hal Jordan (played by Academy Award nominated Armie Hammer) and Korugaran Thaal Sinestro (played by Academy Award nominated Joaquin Phoenix) are busy defending the galaxy. Jordan recently becoming more of a leadership role, due to his extraordinary power. Unfortunately, they discover that they’re not the only Lanterns in the galaxy, as criminal sociopath Atrocitus (Hugh Jackman) has created the Red Lanterns, who harness the emotion of rage for their power, has begun a spree of rampage and revenge across the galaxy, killing the villains instead of arresting them, setting their sights on Sinestro’s home planet; Korugar, where it’s revealed Sinestro was once a slave. Korugar is the largest and most affluent planet in the entire galaxy and a capitalist society based on America, known for exports like energy and oil. Korugar also thrives in natural resources such as water, the cleanest air in the galaxy and lush vegetation. However, Korugar, is still highly prejudice against the darker skin Korugarians despite slavery being abolished as the Red Lanterns attempt to lure them due to the injustices and the most recent civil unrest as well as gain an army larger than the Green Lanterns. The cold yet charismatic Queen Imparta (Rachel Weisz), hires the Green Lanterns to help protect her and Korugar the Red Lanterns, but it’s easier said then done. As the Lanterns must fight a new enemy in new ways, Hal and Sinestro also confront their ideals, as well as discovering potentially more dangerous truths hidden in Korugar. McQuarrie then introduces us to some new characters. Kelly Marie Tran plays Prazhà, a dark skinned scientist on Korugar, appointed by Imparta struggling with where she fits in on Korugar. Daniel Kulaaya plays Jian, a dark skinned Korugarian politician who wants to make a positive change for once, unknowingly inspiring a revolution. Pedro Pascal plays Alavro Smith, a bounty hunter that has his own agenda who our heroes come in conflict with. William Hurt plays Vicio, a strict member of the Guardians of The Universe, who seems to have taken on both Ganthet and Sayd’s role, but unlike them he is much less patient and less trusting of others. More details on Mark Hamill and Lashawna Lynch’s character will be revealed later. Green Lantern Corps: Home arrives in theaters December 8th, Y7 in 3D, Dolby Cinema, IMAX and IMAX 70MM Edited January 9, 2020 by YourMother the Edgelord

Alpha
@cayommagazine After several years of careful deliberation by Alpha Pictures, the studio has decided to greenlight Tony Yacenda’s follow-up to Y4’s critically-acclaimed By the Balls, entitled The Zealots of Idlewild, Kansas, for a Y7 release. While the word “Kansas” brings with it a lot of controversy around CAYOM Tinseltown (for reasons that can only be explained by acknowledging a rampant conspiracy theory about a major time-related cosmic event), a company spokesperson who would like to remain anonymous has told us that Alpha Pictures is doing its best to avoid “this iteration of an idea that’s been bouncing around inside the writer’s room for quite some time” from becoming the black sheep of the studio’s slate, but one that will hopefully entice moviegoers and perhaps garner Oscar attention. The Zealots of Idlewild, Kansas is a satirical comedy-drama about a controversial Pentecostal Christian summer camp located in the eponymous town, located in the dead-center of the contiguous United States. The film focuses on several characters whose stories become intertwined at this yearly gathering of young evangelicals from around the country: Kyle (Noah Jupe), a young amateur preacher from a bitterly-divided Christian household who hopes to become a pastor and spread the Gospel when he grows up. Maureen (Holly Hunter), a charismatic and devoted youth pastor who leads the summer camp but begins to experience doubts about her teachings. Jonathan (Sam Rockwell), a Republican politician running for U.S. Senate who becomes entangled in a political scandal. Timothy (Patrick Wilson), the owner of a large nondenominational megachurch based in Wichita. Abigail (Brooklynn Prince), a shy, introverted campgoer who struggles to make friends at summer camp. In addition, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Nat Faxon have been cast respectively as Kyle’s highly devout mother and his more-moderate father, who both play crucial supporting roles, while Annabelle Attanasio and Jimmy Tatro have been cast in undisclosed roles. While the film’s focus on a particular subset of evangelical Christianity is poised to stir up some controversy, The Zealots of Idlewild, Kansas blends outrageous black comedy with a biting portrayal of contemporary American society, highlighting timely themes about Christianity’s place within the American civic religion, and its connection to wealth, commodification and political causes. The Zealots of Idlewild, Kansas is slated for a limited release in New York and Los Angeles on March 10th, Y7, before expanding to wide release two weeks later on March 24th.

YM!
@cayommagazine Attached to Gateways Spoiler Endless Entertainment Endless Animation We open in a live action world as we see Guy (James Marsden), an overworked business man who has no time for his family, in a rather over the top fashion, also feeling fake. From the creators of Can You Imagine? and Gateways Guy: Sorry, Jr. I can’t attend your championship basketball game tonight, I have a very important and rather melodramatic meeting to attend. And the minds behind The Lego Movie We then cut to a figure sneaking into the back of Guy’s house by the trash can as Guy contemplates his life choices. Guy, humorously with a baseball bat, walks outside to see a computer animated and realistic Randy Raccoon (voiced by Kevin Hart), wearing a backwards SnapBack. Randy: What up dawg! Guy: What The.... Next Holiday Season Randy: I am hear to help you reconnect with your family as you help me tack down vile business man Snoot Le Snot. We then see Snot (played by Jim Carrey) manically cackling as he blows up forests for parking lots. Guy: I can’t help you, I’m an adult with business stuff. And have no time to learn my inner kid. Randy: But you promised. Guy (intensely stares): Okay. We see Randy get into some typical live action/CG hybrids with beloved cartoon characters as we see him dabbing and twerking as he tries to use the toilet after eating a bad burrito. We then hear the real Randy Raccoon (John Mulaney) demands to stop the trailer as we see him traditionally animated ala the characters from Looney Tunes: Back In Action in a computer animated world on set as the rest of the people inside the studio set are animated in cel-shaded animation . Randy Raccoon: What was that?! Randy is absolutely furious as he has a complete diva rampage, knocking over sets, humiliating interns, and stopping at the crafts table to grab a bite as he eats a piece of fruit and then spits it out realizing it’s honeydew. Randy Raccoon: No computer generated, wannabe cool, celebrity voiced (there’s a pause as a terrified intern whispers into his reminding Randy, he too is voiced by a celebrity), sorry famous celebrity voiced bag of stripes can replace me. I’m the reason why you can’t show violence in cartoons anymore. Look, I’ll show you. We then see Randy whistles as a series of Looney Tunes style hijinks as a series of studio equipment as well as a piano fall on him, he then blows himself back to normal size as he walks further away as we see a string attached to his foot hurling him around the studio into lights (electrocuting him), loosing all of his teeth hitting a camera and being flattened by the film strips. Randy then eats a hot dog which is actually a piece of dynamite causing him to explode and leaving himself charred. We then cut through a bunch of snippets of the movie. - Ashley (Olivia Cooke), a young lawyer in her 20s (Ashley is animated in CGI but in color), winding up in Cartoon Corner, the epicenter of the cartoon world as Kai (Sean Schemmel), an anime inspired wolf humanoid with super human strength lifts her up... that cause her to fly into the cartoon sun as winds crashing down into the ground, flat as a pancake. Kai (sheepishly chuckles): Sorry! That was a bit too much strength. • W0-RY (Danny Pudi), a lanky yet somewhat blocky orange robot (think C3-PO meets WALL-E) leaping into the arms of his creator Chai Chu (Nicki Yang), who looks like a mix of Velma from Scooby-Doo and Diane from Bojack Horseman as she sighs annoyed. (Both of the characters are animated in a 1960’s Hanna Barbera style) in the Paperman style real world • The toon squad are at a party as Ashley loosens up as she and Princess Amira (Bex Taylor-Klaus), a rather outspoken princess animated in the style of a Disney movie sing karaoke as we see a group of forest critters bobbing their heads and a few holding lighters • An absolutely furious media company mogul, William H. Grubb (Seth MacFarlane) has a hissy fit over sharing any sort of money • The toon squad then heads to court as they prepare to sue William H. Grubb walking in slow motion as Ashley just walk at normal speed. and finally • We then see a fun car chase as Ashley, W0-RY, Chai, Kai, Randy, and Amira as they are on the run from Grub’s goons as the SUV our heroes are in, is propelled by an energy blast from Kai sending them flying off a bridge and above the clouds as they’re suspended in mid air for a few seconds. - Randy Raccoon: I’ve seen and been in this before a dozen times, we aren’t making it. The SUV then humorously falls as everyone screams Endless Animation’s Toons v Reality Randy Raccoon is humorously in stitches, a body cast and wounded as he comes back from the trailer shoot. Randy Raccoon (winded): See! Now which one did you enjoy? We then see a group of 6-10 year old kids watching. Kid 1: How come you didn’t dab? Kid 2: The Other one was funnier. Randy then humorously collapses into a pile ofrubble. Randy then lets out a frustrated sigh as wehear him ranting and raving over the title card.
